It seems like these days it is hard to find consistently good Chinese food. When the wife mentioned that her parents went to Gim Ling for dinner one night and raved about how good it was, I will admit I was a bit hesitant. I love my in-laws to death, but every time they tell us how a place they recently ate at was phenomenal we go there and it usually ends up being average at best. We decided to go there and give the place a shot and for the most part they were on point and the food was pretty damn good. I am not a huge fan of Egg Rolls, but I could eat theirs for days. The dipping sauce which I believe is just Red Wine Vinegar and Spicy Mustard is a perfect accompaniment to go alongside them. Service wise has typically been very good. We never had any issues such as the ones listed in other reviews. Pricing is reasonable too especially if you get the dinner (it is like $2.75 extra and you get Soup, an Egg Roll, Dessert, and Tea), but there is one caveat. I wanted to try the General Tsos Chicken with Noodles in place of Rice and they obliged, but charged me $5.50 for the substitution. I expected to pay an up-charge of a couple bucks, but not that much. While I enjoyed the dish with Noodles more, it is not worth it at that price point. All in all, I would suggest giving the place a shot if you live in the area. Just be careful when it comes to substitutions and ask beforehand what the up-charge would be.
